MDME has an extensive network and years of experience with some of Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region's largest and most prolific events. Here is a selection of a few of our partners:
Affordable Art Fair
A brainchild of Will Ramsay, Affordable Art Fair started in London in 1999 as a means to democratise the art world and make art accessible to all. Today, the Affordable Art Fair has become somewhat of a global phenomenon and has expanded to 14 cities including Seoul, New York, Amsterdam, Brussels, Milan, Singapore, Hamburg, Mexico City, Seattle, Stockholm, Hong Kong and Maastricht. The 2014 Affordable Art Fair in Hong Kong was a huge success with an amazing 29,000 guests walking through the doors at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The concept of the fair is simple yet unique. It is an inspiring and friendly atmosphere in which you can find thousands of original paintings, prints, sculpture and photography all under one roof, and all between HK $1,000 and HK $100,000, with a special curated “Under $10,000 Wall.” It is an event, which speaks to art lovers of all walks of life and enables brands to associate with a highly accessible and contemporary art event. MDME has been involved with the Affordable Art Fair since it moved to Hong Kong in 2013 and is looking forward to another fantastic art fair from May 22-24th, 2015.
Art Central is Hong Kong’s exciting new art fair, showcasing the next generation of talent alongside some of the most established contemporary galleries and art spaces from across the globe. Launched by Single Market Events, the founders of ART HK (now Art Basel), Art Central is set to establish itself in one of the key emerging art markets in the world. Taking place during Hong Kong’s prominent art weekend (March 14-16th ), Art HK is being held on one of the most significant outdoor spaces in Hong Kong – the new Central Harbourfront. MDME will work closely with Art Central to secure relevant sponsors and partners to ensure a successful launch. MDME worked successfully with Single Market Events in the past with brand, sponsorship and delivery for Art HK and Top Gear Live.
Clockenflap is Hong Kong’s leading Music and Arts Festival and blends the kind of local and international festival that people in Hong Kong and from around the region crave and deserve. Clockenflap continues to grow from strength to strength with 18,000 festival-goers attending in 2012 to 45,000 in 2014. Clockenflap showcases some of the world’s most established acts, while putting a strong spotlight on the region’s finest up-and-coming musicians. In 2014 MDME worked closely with Clockenflap to secure appropriate partners who were looking for involvement in a community, grass-roots event that maintained an international reach. Clockenflap is committed to its brand integrity and its loyal fan-base and for that reason it was important to work with partners who had similar goals. This included introducing brands such as Cathay Pacific, Timothy Oulton and Chocoolate to work alongside existing brands such as Seinnheiser and Carlsberg who have been part of the Clockenflap story for a long time. MDME is very proud of its association with Clockenflap and looks forward to a long and sustainable relationship.
Hedge Fund Fight Nite
On December 3, 2014, Hedge Fund Fight Nite (HFFN) became the first boxing event in Hong Kong to be held in the open air, under the stars. Taking place at the New Central Harbourfront, HFFN not only had the iconic Hong Kong skyline as the backdrop but guests also enjoyed uninterrupted views across Victoria Harbour. The evening was a black tie affair and as well as being a completely unique night out and the year's premier networking event for the finance industry. The boxers themselves were once again recruited from various financial institutions and The AIA Great European Carnival proudly sponsored one of the bouts. As always, there was a large fundraising element on the night, with a live auction and raffle held in aid of Operation Smile and Operation Breakthrough, with millions of dollars raised. Carnival characters were also present on the night to fire up the crowd and give the audience a taste of The AIA Great European Carnival. MDME enjoys the opportunity to work closely with Ironmonger and to use different channels to engage clients, brands and entertain the masses!

Wine HK, produced by Ironmonger, was Hong Kong’s first large-scale pure consumer-based wine event when it launched in 2013. In 2014 it relocated to the New Central Harbourfront and had almost 9,000 guests attend the city’s largest ‘pop-up’ cellar – with 100 wine booths selling over 24,000 bottles of wine. As an event targeting a wide range of consumers, Wine HK provides some significant opportunities for media partnerships and sponsors including strong media promotion and significant branding experiences. MDME will continue to work with Ironmonger to market Wine HK and engage brands and Media with a distinct opportunity that offers a great deal of exposure and publicity.
